A bird built her nest in our "pool toy shed" and we've enjoyed watching the progression of the eggs and hatchlings. The baby bird on JaNae's hand was in the skimmer basket when Brice found it, clinging to the wire handle and trying to keeps its head above the water. Apparently he had tried flying and wasn't successful. JaNae got him out and sat in the hot sun with him to dry him off. She finally got him off her finger (he wasn't eager to let go) and back on the nest and later in the day he and his other two nest-mates had flown away. Amazing how fast birds grow and learn to fly. They sure were cute!

that is too cool. i'm glad that 'nae handling it didn't make the mom or the rest of it's family ignore/abandon it.
